Valentine's Day

Handing out valentines is a BIG event in Kindergarten! It's challenging to read the names ourselves, and find the mailboxes to put them in! I was so excited that so many of the children filled out their valentines themselves! That was fantastic name-writing practice!

You can see that we started handing out valentines as soon as we walked in the door on Valentine's Day! (I had to remind some friends to take off their coats, they were so excited to start handing them out!!) It takes a while for us to read them all and hand them out, and that's the top thing on our minds. So that's why we did it right away! We didn't even bother to unstack our chairs and put them at the tables. It just made it that much easier to reach the mailboxes. 😊

Everyone looked so nice for Valentine's Day!

There were lots of fun items in our valentine boxes...we especially liked these lips!

We love Valentine's Day!

Later in the day during Math Workshop, we played a game with dice. You roll the dice, and then write the next three consecutive numbers. It was fun to practice with partners all around the room!

We had a wonderful day!
