A Few Snapshots From Friday

After reading the story of Owen the mouse, we had to find out what a blanket dipped in vinegar would smell like!

We were so surprised to see that we had a visit from Scooter Mouse! We think that Scooter Mouse might live in the hole we found in our ceiling. He left us a note, and cut up Mrs. Powell's big blanket so that everyone could have a piece. That's what happened in the story, too! Can you believe that we have a MOUSE in our classroom? No one has seen him, though. ;)

See that hole? That's where we think Scooter Mouse lives.

On Friday, we went to music class with Mr. Kassulke (Kuh-sulk-ee)! Here we are at the end of the class, when Mrs. Powell came to pick us up. Look at this awesome line!

At the end of the day on Friday, we had a school-wide assembly in the gym. What an AMAZING group of Long Leaders we have at our school! Kindergartners are the lucky ones who get to sit right in front! We learned that our mission at Long Elementary is to Love Learning, Only think positive, Never give up, and Go for our goals!

Back in the classroom before dismissal, we had a few minutes for center time. Look at these friends, putting on a show with the rhyming dust bunnies! We love this book! Click here to enjoy it on YouTube.

Some of the Peeps decided to play in the Construction Center.

Others tried out Pretend Place. Our centers were a little crowded, because they aren't all open yet. But that's OK--we have very caring and sharing Peeps!
