The 100th day of Kindergarten is coming! This is a very special day, with many exciting activities planned to celebrate! We need your help before the big day arrives on Monday, January 30:
Each kindergartner will need to decorate a shirt with 100 things on it. You can glue, sew, draw, or otherwise attach 100 items to your child's shirt. You can use buttons, hearts, wiggle eyes, cotton balls, or any other material you wish. But think carefully! Some things are not good choices...100 army men can be very pokey! 100 playing cards attached with safety pins can rip. 100 pennies attached with hot glue will fall off all day long. (Trust me on this!) If you Google "100 Day Shirt" you will get lots of ideas for things you can do...this is a very popular Kindergarten project nationwide! It is fine to use an old shirt for this...you don't have to buy a new one to decorate.
You can start working with your child on their 100 Day shirt anytime, but please don't have your child wear it to school until the 100th day. On that day, we'll have a fashion show, and everyone will get to show off their shirt!
