We knew that there was snow in the forecast for Thursday, so we decided to learn all about the snow, and make some pretend snow to play with. This is "Insta-Snow" in case you're curious, or ever want to buy some for messy playtime at home. (Ha! Ha!) It's a powder, and you mix it with water. It absorbs the water, and becomes fluffy!
While some friends loved playing in the "snow," others just enjoyed time playing in their favorite centers.

Here we are, making more snow to add to our tub!
The Peeps made snow-measuring sticks, too! We measured and labeled three inches, because we were really hoping for three inches of snow!

We also read one of my favorite wintertime books, Axle Annie! In the story, the Burskyville Schools NEVER close for a snow day because of one amazing bus driver who can always drive her bus up Tiger Hill.
